Founded on 1 January 1974 by employees of the Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation, ZESCO United began as a works side competing in the country's lower divisions. Within a generation, the club had electrified Zambian football — climbing to the top flight and never looking back.
The 2007 season changed everything. ZESCO claimed their first MTN Super League title and reached the final of the CAF Confederation Cup the following year, announcing themselves on the continental stage.
Today, Ba Zesco are nine-time league champions and a perennial fixture in CAF competitions — a club that pairs a fierce identity with one of Africa's most modern home stadia.
